(1) Wanted to get a class of 1955 reunion to be held here in The Villages in Florida in February 2013.

(2) What if rather than spending his money for air fair and related expenses to travel to Danbury, he invest his money in renting a reception hall here in The Villages

(3 What if he makes all arrangements for lodging for all, by getting a local hotel to reserve a block of rooms. (not paying for)

(4) What if he makes arrangements for Golf Cart Rental here in the The Villages.

(5) What if our 2013 reunion is a casual (as all Floridians are) dress in shorts and Tommy Bahamas flowered shirts, better yet have a "Key West" theme.

(6) What if he makes arraignments for all classmates that fly into Orlando, to be picked up by a shuttle service that will eliminate car rental, and bring you to your hotel here in The Villages

The reservations are made a year in advance only.  For 2013 we would reserve the room in 2012.

If the deposit is taken, and the event is canceled, there is a $25.00 cancellation fee if canceled 6 months in advance and $50.00 if canceled 30 days prior to the event.

Cost for reunion per person will be established prior to 3/1/2012.


Classmates can spend the weekend, take advantage of all the entertainment, Golf etc.


Golf tee times can be set up.


Tours of the Villages can be arranged.


Groups can be picked up at the airport at reduced prices, individual pickups also.


If we have a Friday event we can start earlier, and have the evening to go off and do there own thing.


If we have a Saturday event, that day typically has the Chili cook off at 9 am, which is a national event held on the Spanish Springs Town Square, which attracts thousands.


Hotel block bookings will be set aside, for each classmate to make their own reservation.


Having a car in the Villages really is not needed, there is plenty of places to go accessible by golf cart,that is unless you intend to go outside of the villages.

There will be a lot of coordinating that needs to be done, hopefully by February 2012, one year in advance I will have a volunteer committee.
