February 2010 Dear Classmate, I started working on your web site just after the 1995 reunion, and it has been fun, and most challenging, especially in the fall of 2009 when the server that i hired early on, sold out and the new server had none of my web page files on it, none of the 1500 or so at last count. This year (2010) I have been challenged again, where so many links just weren't working, so I needed to go through just about every file, and do links all over again. My hat off to Classmate Joyce Fairfax Pearce who has been extremely helpful in typing in some of the lengthy Obits, that i lost. One of my greatest accomplishments this year was to get the "Counter" back up and counting every hit since day one, its mind boggling to see how many have visited the web page, today its at 1,981,187 hits. As I stated above, this is your website, I just created it and maintain it. As your web site I can, and will add anything that you want on it, such as family photo's, links to other sites, such as "FaceBook" as I have done. Each year, I ask for donations from our classmates, and have labeled them our "Angels", and they have come through to the point I have had to tell some "Stop sending money" I have enough for this year. I only want to keep enough in reserve for 12 months, sometimes it goes a bit beyond. My reasons are simple...what if something happens to me, and I'm unable to continue, and the money is sitting in my bank...... This year I will start begging around April 2010. Paul |
